Finding a supervisor is the first real obstacle between a registered intern and a license, and the Board does not publish a list. This is one — free to use, free to be listed in, with no referral fees and no paid placement. Everyone here is currently accepting supervisees.
Under Florida law you cannot accrue a single hour toward licensure without a qualified supervisor, and there is no official directory of them. Most interns find one through whoever happens to employ them, which is how people end up two years into a supervisory relationship that is not working.
This is an attempt at the list that should already exist. It covers mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, and clinical social work — read the credentials line on each listing, since a supervisor’s designations determine which registrations they can take. If you supervise in Florida, add yourself; it costs nothing and always will.
A listing here is not a recommendation, a vetting, or an endorsement. It is a starting point for a conversation you still have to have. Verify any supervisor’s license and qualified-supervisor status yourself before you sign anything — the Florida DOH license lookup is the only authoritative source, and it takes about thirty seconds.
Before you evaluate anyone, know the floor. In Florida a qualified supervisor must hold an active license in the relevant profession, have been licensed for at least five years, and have completed a Board-approved supervisory training course of at least 12 clock hours under Rule 64B4-6.0025 — with a further four-hour requirement recurring every third biennium.
Two practical points that decide whether an arrangement is even legal:
The full picture — the 1,500 client hours, the 100 supervision hours, the 100-week minimum, the group/individual alternation rule and the 50% in-person requirement — is in the RMHCI supervision guide. If you are the one considering becoming a supervisor, the qualified supervisor guide covers what you are actually signing up for.
Ask any prospective supervisor four questions: what do you charge and what does that include, how many supervisees do you currently carry (the cap is 25), how will we handle the 50% in-person requirement, and what happens to my hours if you become unavailable. A supervisor who has not thought about the fourth one has not thought about it.
Grouped by region, alphabetical within each. Credentials are reproduced as each supervisor states them. Every license below was checked against the Florida DOH register on 2 September 2026 — all fourteen were Clear/Active, carried a Qualified Supervisor qualification, and had no discipline on file.

Most of the supervisors here work with Mentality Today, the billing and credentialing company I co-founded. That is not a coincidence — it is simply where the list started, and I would rather say so than pretend otherwise. Nobody paid to be listed and nobody pays me for a referral. I have left myself off it. The list stays lopsided only until other supervisors add themselves, which is free and takes two minutes.
Add yourself. There is no fee, no referral cut, and no upsell — I am not selling supervision leads. I verify the license number against the DOH lookup and publish it, usually within a week.
Two free tools, both running entirely in your browser — nothing you type is transmitted or stored anywhere but your own device.
How to use this page, and how not to. Listings are supplied by the supervisors themselves or compiled from their published professional profiles. I verify the license number against the Florida DOH lookup at the time of listing; I do not vet clinical quality, supervisory competence, or fit, and nothing here is a recommendation.
License status changes, people stop taking supervisees, and this page will sometimes be out of date. Confirm any supervisor’s current license and qualified-supervisor status directly with the Florida Board before entering into a supervisory agreement. Nothing on this page is legal advice.
To be removed, or to correct an entry, email zac@mentalitytoday.com and it will be done the same week.
